INTRO

  • The prophetic message I have for you is: GET OUT OF KINDERGARTEN.
  • This is a prophetic challenge to GROW UP rather than just GROWING OLD.
  • Become mature in the way you SEE THINGS, DO THINGS OR REACT TO SITUATIONS.
  • The Church is full of KINDERGATENS occupying OLD BODIES.
  • I am challenging you to have LIFE IN YOUR YEARS rather than YEARS IN YOUR LIFE.
  • Something is always observable when one GROWS UP.
  • The writer to the Hebrews says, by faith Moses when he had GROWN UP refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
  • It is time to move from MILK to SOLID FOOD.
  • It is time to move from SPIRITUAL INFANCY to SPIRITUAL MATURITY.
  • SOLID FOOD makes a SOLID CHRISTIANS ( CERELAC SERMONS).
  • SOLID FOOD trains you to distinguish between GOOD and EVIL.
  • Get out of kindergarten TALK.
  • Get out of kindergarten THINKING.
  • Get out of kindergarten REASONING.
  • Get out of kindergarten BEHAVIOR.
  • Get out of kindergarten SPIRITUALITY (TONGUE-TALKING BUT FULL OF HATRED).
  • Get out of kindergarten IMPERFECTIONS.
  • Get out of kindergarten TEMPER TUNTRUMS.
  • Get out of kindergarten MOOD SWINGS.
  • Get out of kindergarten THUMB SUCKING.
  • Get out of kindergarten RIGIDITY.
  • Get out of kindergarten JUDGMENTALISM.
  • Get out of kindergarten SHALLOWMINDEDNESS.
  • Get out of kindergarten CHILDISH PLAY.
  • Get out of kindergarten SELFISHNESS.
  • Get out of kindergarten DIAPERS.

OUTLINE:      SEVEN SIGNS/INDICATIONS OF MATURITY QUOTIENT (MQ).

  • Refuse to be an adult with LOW MATURITY QUOTIENT.
  • High Intelligence Quotient without Maturity Quotient is DANGEROUS.
  • Low IQ without Maturity Quotient is DISASTROUS.
  • Some people are full of the TONGUE QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the DANCE QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the GOSSIP QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the MURMERING QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the STUBBORNNESS QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the NOISE QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the LYING QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the ADULTROUS QUOTIENT.
  • Some people are full of the LAZINESS QUOTIENT.

1)        HAVING PERSONALISED PRINCIPLES IN LIFE.

  • Have personal principles as a young MAN/LADY.
  • Have personal principles as a married MAN/LADY.
  • Have a commitment to CHRISTIAN VALUES.
  • Have a commitment to MORAL VALUES.
  • Have a commitment to MARITAL VALUES.
  • Have a commitment to SPIRITUAL VALUES.
  • Principled people know when to TALK/KEEP QUIET.
  • Principled people have a sense of what is WORTH FIGHTING FOR.
  • Principled people have a sense of what is WORTH DEFENDING.
  • Principled people have a sense of what is WORTH DYING FOR.
  • Principled people have a sense of what is WORTH DISCUSSING.
  • Principled people have a sense of what is WORTH HEARING.

2)        OPERATES IN THE AFFIRMATIVE MODE.

  • Mature people AFFIRM others.
  • Mature people RESPECT other people.
  • Mature people BUILD other people.
  • Mature people ENCOURAGE other people.
  • Mature people TELL THE TRUTH IN LOVE.
  • Mature people are OTHER-CENTRED.
  • Mature people focus on SELF INTEREST.
  • Mature spouses affirm their PARTNERS.
  • Mature parents affirm their CHILDREN.
  • Mature Christians affirm other CHRISTIANS.
  • Mature Christians affirm their PASTOR
  • Mature Christians LOVE LIFE.

3)        UNDERSTAND THAT CHRISTIAN LIFE IS A PROCESS OF BECOMING.

  • Grow into the IMAGE OF CHRIST.
  • Bear with me I am a Christian UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
  • Press toward the mark of your HIGH CALLING.
  • Grow spiritually by an independent intake of GOD’S WORD.
  • Be willing to change and improve.
  • Develop a SPIRITUAL TOOLKIT.
  • Saturate your life with God’s word.

4)        BALANCE BETWEEN FIRMNESS AND FLEXIBILTY.

  • There are times when we need to be FIRM.
  • There are times when we need to be FLEXIBLE.
  • There is a difference between COMPROMISE and FLEXIBILITY.
  • We must be firm on NON-NEGOTIABLES of Christianity.
  • Jesus Christ being the WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE is non-negotiable.
  • Be firm on MORAL PURITY in a world of impurities.
  • Be firm on SPIRITUAL VALUES.
  • Be flexible on issues of DRESS or FOOD.

5)        BALANCE BETWEEN HEART AND HEAD ISSUES.

  • There are situations which need your HEART.
  • There situations which need CRITICAL ANALYSIS.
  • There are situations where you need to feel for people.
  • There are situations which need RESTORATION.
  • There are situations which need FATHERLY APPROACH.
  • There are situations which need PUBLIC REBUKE.
  • There are situations which need CONSTITUTIONAL APPROACH.
  • Beware of the danger of being HEARTLESS.
  • Beware of the danger of being HEADLESS.

6)        APPRECIATES THE POWER OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING.

  • What you come to know by experience has a lasting impact on you.
  • In real life, experience is the best teacher.
  • Christian life leans more on the EXPERIENTIAL rather than THEORETICAL CONSIDERATIONS.
  • I have been a pastor for the past 25 years. That should tell a story.
  • Be a PENTECOSTAL by experience and not by MEMBERSHIP.
  • Experience baptism in water.
  • Experience baptism in the Holy Ghost.
  • Experience the blessing of giving and receiving.
  • Experience the power of HOLY LIVING.
  • Experience the power of ANOINTING.

7)        WILLINGNESS TO LET GO AND LET GOD

  • Life is a give and take game.
  • Learn to let go certain issues/GRADGES.
  • Learn to let go certain personal convictions.
  • Learn to let go situations you can’t change.
  • Learn to let go certain disappointments.
  • Learn to FORGIVE certain people.
  • Learn to RELEASE certain people.
  • Let go that MISTREATMENT.
  • Let go that HEARTBREAK.
  • Let go that DIPRESSING SITUATION.
  • Let go those PAST DIVISIONS.
  • Let go that PAINFUL PAST.
  • GIVE GOD A CHANCE.
