Paul together with others who had had a shipwreck, found themselves on the Island of Malta. Since it was cold, Paul collected some firewood only to realise that he had also picked a viper. The viper fastened itself on Paul’s hand. When the Islanders saw the snake hanging from Paul’s hand, they concluded that he was a murderer hence their view that the snake zeroed on him for instant justice. But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. The Islanders expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead. However after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, THEY CHANGED THEIR MINDS and said he was a god. Are you aware that if you become patient when you go through situations, the very people who laughed at you will change their minds and laugh with you as they did with Sarah? The same Balaam who was on a mission to curse Israelites changed his mind and blessed them. The very king who threw Daniel into the Lions’ Den is the very person who changed his mind and rescued him. The very people who discouraged blind Bartimeus are the same people who ended up encouraging him to go to Jesus. Be of good cheer, YOUR HATERS WILL CHANGE TO BE YOUR HELPERS. THEY WILL CHANGE THEIR MINDS.
THEY WILL CHANGE THEIR MINDS (Acts 28:4-6)
