GET IT OFF YOUR CHEST (Psalm 34:19, 1Peter 5:7)

10 Feb

Inner pain has been given different names like: inner wounds, inner hurts, inner torment, emotional wounds, emotional turbulence or emotional paralysis. Inner pain is a haunting experience which is not easy to detect because it is hidden in the chest. This emotional condition may be caused by bereavement, marital breakdown, tragic experiences, bitter disputes, abuse of all sorts, just to mention a few. If you have never been hurt then you are a super hero. If you have never hurt someone then you are an angelic being. Inner pain can lead to resentment, self hate, withdrawal and even committing suicide as an attempt to stop the pain. People in such situations tend to bleed in silence and in isolation. On the other hand it is a known fact that hurt people, hurt people. Therefore do not rush to judge people who hurt you. They could be reflecting inner hurts themselves. I have good news to those who are hurting inside. The Apostle Peter says, Cast your anxieties upon Jesus for he cares for you. The Psalmist says, Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Refuse to hurt yourself twice or have multiple hurts by rehearsing your inner pain. Remember that inner wounds bleed at the slightest negative comment. By so doing those wounds will never heal. Stop blaming yourself or others about your inner wounds because this does not have any healing propensities. The prophetic word I have for you is GET IT OFF YOUR CHEST.
# Get it off your chest by extending an olive branch to those who hurt you
# Get it off your chest by letting what is past stay in the past
# Get it off your chest by letting go of unnecessary baggage
# Get it off your chest by breaking the chains of bitterness
# Get it off your chest by declaring Jehovah Rapha i.e. the Lord our Healer to cover you
# Get it off your chest by casting your burdens upon Jesus Christ our scapegoat

At times it is very difficult to get it off your chest especially if you keep on meeting or Seing those who have hurt you in life that’s why we have soo many people committing suicide and just backsliding and isolating themselves.
